Girly tones

I'm not a big fan of girly tones/colours,

but I must admit,

I don't shy away from any colour.

Life is short,

wear everything.

Mid-week party with MCQ Alexander McQueen

T`was the Wednesday of a busy busy week

and  a mid-week party was totally necessary.

yummy finger food and cocktails by Bricklane 

with strawberry roses!

So that night's outfit was inspired by the Alexander McQueen A/W 2013

and his ever-lasting love of black.

Instead of pairing all this with McQueen-inspired gold accessories,

I stuck in some metallic silver and holographic hues

because that's my current fetish : P

I chose to finish the look with a mid-length pleated skirt.

Instead of looking like a young rebel, this length adds a touch of elegance to the overall look.

A beautiful, bold statement on the last Friday of 2013

I love sunlight because it makes me happy. But this black happy necklace makes me even happier!

Sometimes when I see coloured accessories (meaning they come in colours other than silver or gold), I hesitate because I only choose things that are easily matched with anything I throw on. This necklace though, holds the best message in the world so I couldn't put it down.

 

Most people would wear something lighter in colour in order to let this necklace stand out, BUT, I found that it stands out better with its same shade!

SUPER excited with this finding.

So excited I had to do a little dance.
