Nike Flyknit Lunar 3 Outfit

I understand that sometimes when you pick up a pair of running shoes
and you just want to style it for a day/night out
but your mind goes totally blank.

I know, cuz it happens to me too.

Work Wednesday on Thursday - Pastel vest

Due to technical difficulties for a whole entire week now,
it's been so hard for me to keep blog
and to keep you guys updated!

Extremely frustrating, more than anything else.
And it also made me realize how dependent we are now on the internet
and how much we are afraid of getting disconnected from the rest of the world.

And this is why Work Wednesday is on Thursday this week.
Heehee.

Little Red Dress + Golden Ear cuff

This is what I wore for our Primary 6 Graduation Dinner that one night:

A little red dress,
silver flats
and my classic mini.

But the highlight of night was..

Weekday night out in the summer heat (III)

Another inspiration for a night out with the boyfriend or your favourite girlfriends!

A super sheek green sleeveless made with the same fabric as those thinner wind-breakers.
GREAT for this mid-summer heat.
The colour makes the whole outfit so much merrier! :D

side note: excuse the shaky outfit selfies. I was in a hurry to meet my lovely friend! :P

But since it IS such a bright and happy colour,
I had to go with a much more neutral bottom,
and grey is always the go-to colour when it comes to toning things down
yet not DIMMING it all out altogether
(like what black would do).

Oh, and by the way,
Tip 1:
skirts with elastic waistbands are the best to invest in,
because you can pull them higher for a stylish high-waisted look
or rest them on your hips for a more sophisticated look.

"Hello, leaf!" exclaimed the Happy espadrilles.

And finally,
the whole look is wrapped up my 3.1 Phillip Lim pashli mini satchel
and these equally bright and happy espadrilles I bought from Old Navy Canada last summer.
Super comfy and summery, I love them!

Tip 2:
If you go brave and bold with your necklace,
ditch the earrings (even small studs)!

A mix of comfort and girly elements for a good and stylish night out.

High-waisted classy denim shorts

It suddenly got really hot.
And then I thought to myself, "Why is it so hot? It's only.. Oh, it's July already."

This vintage plaid shirt makes the whole outfit really safe,
but you will not understand:
No matter how loose and how big the arm holes are,
when it's summer in Hong Kong,

anything more than a thin piece of cloth is too hot.

At least for me, anyway.

So the following is an alternative to the above,
about keeping that vintage plaid top as part of the outfit
but changing it up a little so you don't get hyperthermia : P

And then of course,
when the heat becomes totally unbearable,
there's nothing you can do but strip down to the ultimate wife-beater.

(Tip:
If it's white, make sure it's WHITE!)

Here's the look with a more girly twist.
The headband does it all:

How it looks under the beautiful Hong Kong summer weather:

Hope you're still enjoying the heat!

Happy Canada Day!!
